Residents from Rutherglen and Cambuslang can now vote which local groups will receive funds via the Participatory Budget.

Voting is open across Rutherglen and Cambuslang for residents to vote for which community groups should receive an allocation of the Participatory Budget.

South Lanarkshire Council’s Participatory Budgeting enables local people to have their say on how money should be spent within their community. Burnhill and Fernhill neighbourhood planning areas have been allocated £13,950 from South Lanarkshire Council and the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, whilst Cambuslang East and Springhall and Whitlawburn have been allocated £15,500, to support participatory budgeting activity and the delivery of the local Neighbourhood Plan.
