“Tourism is a highly dynamic sector that brims with opportunities. Yet, its development must be taken as it does not work alone but in alliance with other sectors, particularly development plans, infrastructure, connectivity, and most of all, safety and security.

Duterte praised the DOT regional offices for coming together and enjoining the participation of all tourism stakeholders to promote the various leisure and tourism destinations of the island region. “More than the exotic delicacies, colorful fiestas, and rich ethnic and cultural diversity that continues to be enriched and preserved to this day, Mindanao is positioning itself as a destination for both leisure and business with its meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions sector actively developing more spaces for tourism, education, food, business, real estate, and property development, agri-business, and professional conventions, expos, and conferences,” she said.

The three-day expo showcased sites in the exposition and exhibits, exchanged knowledge through business-to-business meetings and learning sessions, and network with partners from various sectors and allied industries.
