The 'do not consume' warning concerns olives that may contain glass.
In an alert issued April 13, the Waitrose Pitted Spanish Queen Olives are "unsafe to eat". The glass jar of olives may contain glass, as per the Food Safety Agency website.
The supermarket bid customers to not consume the product and return the olives to their local branch for a refund. The possible glass contamination concerns 113g jars with a best before end date of December 2025.View gallery "We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for theinconvenience caused," wrote the supermarket.
The Food Standards Agency advised: "If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For more information contact Waitrose customer care team on 0800 188 884, Option 4."Waitrose's warning follows recalls from the Coop's 20* Piece Picnic Platter due to undeclared sulphites. Earlier this week, Marks and Spencer recalled the M&S Plant Kitchen Mushroom Pie because of undeclared soya.
