Wallace and Gromit are back in a new film, Vengeance Most Fowl, with a host of comedy icons voicing characters. The plot follows Wallace and Gromit as they deal with complications from a new 'smart gnome' that develops an evil mind, while their nemesis Feathers McGraw seeks revenge. The film airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day at 6.10pm.
A host of comedy icons are set to voice characters in the eagerly awaited return of Wallace and Gromit to the screen with their new film, Vengeance Most Fowl .
The official synopsis for the film states: "The highly-anticipated feature-length film sees Gromit’s growing concern as Wallace becomes over-dependent on his inventions – which proves justified when Wallace creates a ‘smart gnome’ that seems to develop an evil mind of its own. Ben Whitehead, a well-known voice actor, officially assumed the role of Wallace following Peter Sallis' retirement in 2010, although he had previously lent his voice to the character in various shorts and games.
In addition to The League of Gentlemen, Shearsmith is renowned for his work on BBC Two's dark comedy Psychoville and Inside No. 9 alongside Steve Pemberton.
