Italian craftsmanship meets a Nineties American sportswear aesthetic
The three luxury fashion houses have pulled together to create a limited edition collection of boots and loafers; two of each, to be exact. It all emerged from Tod’s Factory project, when Francesco Ragazzi – founder and creative director of Palm Angels – was invited to reinterpret Tod’s viewpoint via his label’s pre-existing collaboration with Moncler Genius. He set about employing the brand’s renowned workmanship to craft designs informed by Nineties American sportswear and alpinism.
The first model to undergo an 8 Moncler Palm Angels makeover is Tod’s signature offering, the Gommino Driving Shoe. Traditionally spotted underneath sprezzatura summer wear, Ragazzi shakes up the familiar silhouette for winter with a punchy flame toe box design and debossed branding to form a streetwear flex that’s more Miami than Marche.The second is the Tod's W.G. ankle boot, also known as the Winter Gommino.
