Warm weekend ahead for Nottingham with 17C highs as other parts of UK face icy blast
Nottingham looks set to have a pleasantly warm weekend with temperatures forecast to reach balmy highs of 17C in the city. According to the Met Office's latest forecast, the mercury will linger in the high-teens on Saturday , under largely cloudy skies.
The mild weekend outlook comes as other parts of the UK might have to endure very chilly conditions. Further north, parts of Scotland could be as cold as 2C the same day, while figures fluctuate between 13C and 17C across England and Wales, according to the Express. Before then, there will be a mixed bag of weather over the coming days, starting with a much cooler forecast on Monday and Tuesday for the East Midlands.
For the remainder of the working week, the Met Office's forecast indicates much more cloud as temperatures slowly begin to rise towards 17C as each day passes before the weekend. Elsewhere, it is expected to be very different in northern areas of Scotland thanks to a plume of cold air, which could bring some snow Brian Glaze, the director and forecaster for the Weather Outlook, says.
“After the wintry start, it is not out of the question that temperatures in the south could surge to 19C before April ends.” In the Met Office's latest long-range forecast , a spokesperson added: "Cloudy on Friday with rain in places, some of this heavy.
