Shane Warne's father is 'disappointed' with Channel Nine's portrayal of his son in its TV series as viewers take to social media to voice their disapproval of the production.
Channel Nine’s two-part series named Warnie, which aired on Sunday night, has been criticised for its small budget and lack of respect for Warne’s family.
“Keith is a very astute man, he knows it’s entertainment he knows it’s not a documentary, but he feels that they missed out on a few key things,” Ford told the radio station.“The main thing is he feels they didn’t portray the growth of Shane from the larrikin teenager to the mature adult who wanted to make a difference in the world.
Warne was married to Simone Callahan from 1999 to 2005 and the couple had three children, Jackson, Brooke and Summer. The second episode of Warnie is set to air on Channel Nine on Monday night but the public sentiment indicates there will be plenty of people giving it a miss.
