A number of deaths have been reported in the country in recent weeks
The Foreign Office has issued advice for British holidaymakers travelling to Turkey - after a number of deaths from illegally produced alcohol. At least 17 people are believed to have died in Istanbul, the country's largest city, after consuming bootleg alcohol.
People visiting the country, which boasts popular destinations including Izmir and Antalya, have also been told to make sure bottle seals are intact before drinking from them. Visitors are also being urged to avoid home-made alcohol.
