Police are investigating reports that a piece of wire was tied between trees at a Co Derry beauty spot.

Officers are asking members of the public to be vigilant when walking in wooded areas and to report anything suspicious in the area to them as soon as possible. Chief Inspector McIldowney continued: "We are conducting robust enquiries, but I would encourage members of the public making use of any wooded areas in the Causeway Coast and Glens area to be vigilant.
