Picture: NCA NewsWire / Andrew Henshaw The Victorian Coalition warned that the backdated tax, if enacted, will result in “bills of up to hundreds of thousands of dollars”, which will ultimately result in higher costs for patients.
A similar ruling was also introduced across the border in New South Wales, but the Labor government there has since committed to a pause on payroll tax audits for 12 months.
