A Washington high school girls track and field coach claims the state did not "prepare" his team for facing a transgender runner at last month's state championships.
The results were thanks in part to a transgender runner on East Valley's team winning the girls’ 400-meter dash, Vergillo “The male is going to be stronger and more powerful, so you use that to your advantage to get yourself around the track,” he continued. “As a woman, the level of strength and power is different, so you end up having to do it with more grace and finesse.”allows athletes to compete based on gender identity.
