Memorial day weekend is here which means Washington State Ferries (WSF) expects to see a lot more passengers.

As people travel through the ferry system, WSF still faces a shortage of vessels. WSF officials said they have 21 boats in its fleet, but only 15 are currently in service. They add that 26 boats are needed for service to be fully restored.Some passengers said they're worried about traveling this weekend.

On Saturday, some ferry terminals experienced long wait times. The Edmonds terminal saw wait times of up to 2 hours, while others like Mukilteo saw about an hour wait.
