The report states that McMillan grabbed her purse before she could make it inside her home, resulting in a struggle for the purse that injured her finger as well. The woman told police she did not need medical attention. After troopers responded to the scene just after 11:30 p.m., officers went to the bingo hall and found a 2005 Tahoe that matched the description from the woman and her neighbor. Troopers tracked the owner of the truck to McMillan’s home, where he arrived about 30 minutes later, according to the complaint.
The complaint says that McMillan told investigators that he hitched a ride with another friend to Anchorage, along with Oberholtzer. Troopers wrote in the complaint that the friend who allegedly borrowed his truck “looked the opposite of Jeremy.”
