The care home says it is the first in NI to use VR for its residents
A care home has become the first in Northern Ireland to have its residents use virtual reality as part of their activities.
The sessions, organised through the VR Doctors company, are used with relaxation in mind and help the residents to "unlock memories".A video posted on the home’s social media says they are the first in NI to set up these sessions for residents. “Our residents were transported to the beautiful Caribbean islands during their sessions, experiencing turtle spotting and swimming underwater with exotic, colourful fish.
“Virtual reality allows our residents to travel the world, unlock memories and enjoy new experiences from the comfort of our own home.”
