The Sangamon County Sheriff's Office has released body camera footage of the deputy-involved shooting of Sonya Massey on July 6.

Sean Grayson will be held in jail until his trial after a Sangamon County judge agreed with prosecutors that he’s a risk to the community on Thursday. According to the Sangamon County State's Attorney, Deputies entered Massey's home to gather further information, and to ensure that the residence was safe. A pot was noticed on the stove in which Massey, with police approval, went to remove the pot.
The Defendant drew his 9mm firearm and threatened to shoot Massey in the face. Massey put her hands in the air and said she was sorry while ducking for cover behind the counter that separated her and the Defendant.
