'Mr Graham, due to this unwise incident, experienced many things which he would never, ever, want to experience again'
Graham admitted being almost three times the drink-drive limit when he crashed his car through a shop doorway and has been banned from driving for two years.
After he was arrested, tests at hospital showed he had a reading of no less than 230mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80mg. He was disqualified from driving for two years, given a 12-month community order in which he must carry out 180 hours unpaid work and given a 90-day alcohol ban, monitored by a tag.
The court was shown CCTV from inside the shop, since released by CPS, which showed the Land Rover smash through the doors, an airbag deploy in the vehicle and the car collide into shelves.Graham was arrested at a nearby house and it was not suggested he had fled the scene.A probation report said the married father-of-three had been drinking with a friend after playing golf.
