Oliver White, 27, was placed in a chokehold by an assailant on Saturday afternoon while a second man stole a number of luxury watches at 247 Kettles in London.
The devastated family of a watch dealer who was found dead just a day after enduring a "terrifying attack" by thieves at a jewellery store have spoken out. They feel that, due to the "anguish and distress" resulting from the traumatic incident, 27-year-old Oliver White took his own life.
Despite not suffering from major injuries during the brutal robbery, it was only on Sunday, shortly after 8.15pm, that he was found dead at his family home in Shepperton, Surrey. His unexpected death is not considered suspicious by authorities. Top news stories today Alana Dredge, who was in a relationship with White, has paid tribute to her boyfriend. She shared a photo of the couple on holiday this month and wrote on Instagram that he was her "whole world" and that "I will never stop loving you".
CCTV appears to show White being put in a chokehold. A friend of White told the Daily Record that the robbery of £2.8 million worth of watches had filled him with worry. Surrey Police said that officers were called to a location in Shepperton shortly after 8.15pm on Sunday following a report of a concern for safety.
