Mohamed Salah's two goals were not enough to inspire Liverpool to victory against Brighton & Hove Albion
Two goals from Mohamed Salah was not enough to secure victory for Liverpool against Brighton & Hove Albion as Roberto De Zerbi's side rallied late in the second half to secure a deserved point.
Jurgen Klopp's side, however, quickly turned the game on its head before the interval when Dominik Szoboszlai, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez combined well on the edge of the Brighton area before Salah curled the ball past Bart Verbruggen and into the fire corner. The Egyptian stepped up and placed his spot-kick into the same left corner he had done minutes early to hand Klopp's side a perhaps undeserved half-time advantage.
