Trump and voter worries about immigration could see Farage's cachet rise
Farage and his four MP colleagues surprised many by even making it into parliament but have discovered how hard it is to make a splash The July election brought the first Labour government in 14 years while the Tories suffered a historic loss. Farage went on to promise a “political revolution the likes of which we have not seen since Labour after the First World War”. If Farage can give both main parties a bloody nose, he will suddenly be talked up as a potential prime minister. Right now, Reform figures describe him as one – but it is yet to be seen as a likely outcome in Westminster. In order to make this a reality, Reform’s new chairman Zia Yusuf is working on professionalising the operation, including the vetting of candidates so as to avoid the stories of disgraced candidates that caused them issues during the general election.
