Queen of Tejano Selena Quintanilla and Jenni Rivera's stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame were recently covered in what appeared to be black paint.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame stars honoring Latina legends Selena Quintanilla and Jenni Rivera have been vandalized. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which maintains the Walk of Fame, told the Los Angeles Times that the stars were vandalized twice in 24 hours. Spokesperson Ana Martinez said that the vandalism was discovered Monday and Tuesday mornings. She sent cleanup crews to restore the stars and filed two police reports, the Times reported.
It also shows people young and old use cleaners and alcohol to tidy the stars up. The video has racked up 3.6 million views as of Thursday afternoon. 'Jenni Rivera looking down with her 'I love haters' hat on smiling 'cause no matter what a true fan came and cleaned it up,' one TikTok user wrote. Silent film actor Heinie Conklin's star was vandalized, too, according to KABC-TV.
