It's not the only new arrival coming to Waterloo Road...
North Manchester’s Waterloo Road could be set for a slew of new arrivals — as dozens of affordable 'cottages' are eyed for the area.
That’s because developers want to build on grassland across two sites around the thoroughfare in Cheetham Hill. In all, 70 ‘much needed’ affordable homes will be available on ‘affordable rent’, according to developer Mosscare St Vincent's. Of the 70, 44 will be houses and 26 will be ‘cottage-style apartments’, a planning application said. The application to Manchester council also argues building on the land will spruce up the ‘somewhat monotonous’ area.
