Youngsters from Oxhey Jets Youth help form a guard of honour for the dignitaries and teams at the Remembrance MatchA Watford FC legend, a member of parliament and a Royal Marine bugler are among the dignitaries and guests due to be in attendance when a football club plays its traditional Remembrance Match in support of the British Legion Poppy Appeal on Saturday.

Royal Marine Stephen Saleh will lead the Corps of Buglers in sounding the Last Post and the salute will be taken by Chief Petty Officer Jack Senior from the Royal Navy. “It looks a really good event for the local community and for everyone to be interested in getting closer ties between Oxhey Jets and Northwood. It just seems logical really for that to happen.”

He said: “We’ve got 38 players on the books but I would say regularly we would be averaging around 16 players.
