Watford's National Animal Welfare Trust has said that families have had to give up pets during the cost-of-living-crisis.
There has been a 171% rise of stray dogs being taken in by a Watford animal charity over a five-year period. The National Animal Welfare Trust took in 76 stray dogs in 2022, but only had 28 in 2019, pre-pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis. In fact, the charity has seen an overall increase in the number of animals it has helped since the cost-of-living crisis.For the full story, watch the video below.
