Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann rubbed shoulders with pop star Robbie Williams, multiple Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt and a host of other legendary footballers and celebrities at last week’s Soccer Aid event in London.
Bachmann was assisting former England international David Seaman with coaching the goalkeepers, and picked up a winner’s medal after England won the live TV showpiece 6-3 last night against the Rest of the World in the game played at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium. The event raised £15m for Unicef, taking the total Soccer Aid has earned for the charity to more than £106m since its inception in 2006.Star footballing names such as Alessandro Del Pierro, Eden Hazard, Jill Scott and former Watford keeper David James shared the pitch with the likes of athlete Sir Mo Farah, England cricketer Stuart Broad, actor Danny Dyer and singer Tom Grennan.
