There's still time to get ready for Mother's Day
Social distancing during the coronavirus means that many celebrations will be put on hold and can't be enjoyed in the same way, including Mother's Day.
Even for those who are not self-isolating, heeding the Government’s advice while celebrating Mother’s Day may be problematic, purely due to the distance from which many British adults live from their mothers. But while we may not be able to celebrate our mums in the way we normally would, by taking her out for afternoon tea or for a roast dinner, there's still ways you can help make the day special by getting online to send her a virtual message, do a spot of shopping and get it sent straight to her house or even bake a cake together via webcam.
Write a letter to her Tell her exactly what you love and admire about her and why, or even hand make a card. Mums love knowing that their children have been thinking about them, and this way she will have a keepsake, too.
