The 30-year-old woman found dead following a house fire in Perth’s south in the early hours of Friday morning has been identified as Erica Hay.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Currie Street in Warnbro around 1am following reports of a house engulfed in flames.It was there authorities discovered the 30-year-old mother of four’s body in the rear bedroom of the house.
“We’ve been in contact with the forensic pathologists, and we’re still awaiting the information in relation to the cause of death,” Acting Detective Superintendent David Gorton said.While there was minimal fire damage to the property, Gorton said it was a “confronting” scene for first responders.Meanwhile, homicide squad detectives continue to investigate a second potential homicide, which occurred just 40 kilometres south in Dawesville following an altercation between two men.
