'We bought our house for its incredible views - now it's gone up £200,000 in value'

"We bought our first house here in 1999, it was a small semi-detached very close to where I grew up. We have two children and when my son was around three we decided we needed to upsize to a bigger house." "From the front it just looks like any other ordinary detached house, but as soon as you step out the back it’s amazing. The view looks right over towards the Peak District, you can see Glossop from our house, and it’s just absolutely beautiful."
"Over the years we've stripped the house from top to bottom to put our own stamp on it and make it a nice welcoming place for our growing family. I've always thought of this house as our forever family home." "We’ve also added in a summer house at the end of the garden and a greenhouse as well. The garden is like a sanctuary for me."
Taking us on a tour around the family home, Jo described: "When you come through the front door we've got the downstairs toilet and the converted garage on the right which leads to the utility room. "The back living area that leads onto the decking is my favourite because it's just such a beautiful space in the daytime and in the evening it comes to life because we’ve got all fairy lights fitted. We've also got a big patio heater as well so it's lovely to sit outside for family gathering and parties."
