Paul Morgan believes youngsters are 'dissociated' from the areas they live in
A community worker is hoping to “fill a void” to stop young people from Merseyside going to jail. Paul Morgan, from Walton , is the brains behind the Kit It Out initiative. Launched alongside his partner, Michelle Smith, the grassroots community group is there to help Liverpool families who are feeling the impact of the ongoing cost of living crisis. The couple primarily bring football kits to underprivileged children in the region.
“There are more affluent parts of the city, with skyscrapers popping up everywhere in the city centre and the likes of Walton, Kensington and Huyton left behind. This is what it comes to with these riots, you light a fuse and with someone to blame it all comes out. “No doubt there were elements of racism and far-right involved with the protesters but for youngsters they need educating.
