award-winning factual production arm of the global current-affairs newspaper. The Films team captures’s globally curious outlook in mind-stretching films and short-form videos, which offer clear, sharp analysis of a subject, presented in a compelling and digestible way. On average our films are viewed 15 million times every month. They are distributed across the publisher’s digital products, editorial channels and social platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
During the commissioning process, you will identify opportunities with journalists across the paper that lend themselves to a visual and narrative approach. You will work with journalists to prepare pitches that deliver a clear and strong editorial proposition with appropriate vision or potential for a piece of video journalism.
You will oversee day-to-day production processes for multiple films and videos at any one time and work closely with the Unit Manager and senior team to ensure projects come in on budget and schedule.
