Head coach Jose Riveiro says there is no reason to panic after his Orlando Pirates side suffered three consecutive defeats despite securing a spot in the MTN8 final.

"What I am trying to say is that still, we have a chance to go to the [CAF Champions League] group stages, if we play a good game on Friday. It's in our hands, we will do it here, at home and hopefully 30 000 spectators."

"We are going to the final, we have the same chances as our opponents and still 25 games to play in the league. Like I said many times, I know what it looks like, but I am a very very optimistic person. I think everything is going to be alright." Pirates will meet Sundowns at the MTN8 final to be played at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 7 October.

For now, The Sea Robbers turn their attention to Friday night's clash against Jwaneng Galaxy in the second leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round tie.Get the best in Soccer, News and Lifestyle content with SNL24 PLUS For 14 free days, you can have access to the best from Soccer Laduma, KickOff, Daily Sun, TrueLove and Drum.
