We tried Asda's super cheap skincare range you can buy for less than £1.50 each

Our reporter, Melissa Major, decided to swap her normal skincare routine for Asda's cheaper version to see how it matched

The cost of living crisis is hitting everyone hard, from making swaps on weekly shops to cutting back completely on things we think we can live without.

So I decided to buy myself a cleanser, toner and moisturiser and try them for a week to see how they faired up.

This product has no smell and definitely didn't sting or burn so I'd say it is kind and gentle. Overall, it was good for cleaning my face but I was not happy with the overall feel of my face afterwards.Again, this product had no smell, I suspect this could be something to do with the kind and gentle aspect of it. As I tipped out the liquid onto the pad and wiped it across all of my face it took away that oily feeling left behind by the cleanser.
