We tried the Booths £5 meal deal with two sides and we think it's better than Tesco
Ah, the trusty meal deal. It is a go-to for many of us who forget to pack up a lunch the night before, or those of us who are always on the go and need a quick and convenient lunch break in the middle of our busy days.
Obviously, after noticing this, we just had to go and see if it lived up to its name. Now, I was already pretty excited before setting off to my nearest Booths in Keswick, and it's for a slightly strange reason that is a hill I'll die on. Most of the mains have no mayo. As soon as I walked through the doors and turned right, the fridges were there with options galore. I was hoping to bag myself a wrap and a salad - me and my mam were sharing, I wasn't being greedy.
1.30pm came and it was finally time to bust out the goods and when I tell you I wasn't disappointed, I mean it. We halved everything so I could get a taste of it all. The falafel was bursting with flavour, you could taste the spices used and it was soft in the centre with a bit of a crispy outside. This was excellent, nothing I've ever had from a shop-bought salad but everything I never knew I needed.
Paired with the tzatziki, it gave the wrap a nice, light, flavour. After eating half the salad and half the wrap I was satisfied and didn't feel bloated with too much bread.
