Bringing a taste of New Orleans to Glasgow, NOLA Soul opened in the southside last year and we went along only to discover some of the best fried chicken we've had in a long time.
If you haven't been to the far end of Victoria Road of late, then you might be missing out on some of the best food spots the southside has to offer.
With these young up-and-coming chefs bringing a taste of New Orleans to the south side, we headed along to the spot that formerly housed Nanika to find out just how good they are.READ MORE: Scotland's first coffee tequila Jalisgow created by Glasgow trio What did you get? Keeping it straightforward we ordered the small portion of fried chicken wings to start , the homemade fries and one of their chicken thigh burgers though literally everything on the menu looked enticing.
The juicier thigh meat worked well with their in-house batter, pickles and lettuce, however, next time we might choose a more savoury sauce, as the comeback was lighter and sweeter than we'd like.
