Deep down in the underbelly of Preston city centre is a pub that is over 300 years old. Ye Olde Blue Belle on Church Street is a Samuel Smith Alehouse, it's believed to have a resident ghost and its a full-on no phone zone.

The inside is traditional and the bar is very pretty to look at, as if it were the back of something from Peaky Blinders. We paid £3 for half a pint of Taddy Lager and a lemonade and took a seat in the corner. That's when we locked our phones away in our bags and let the table do the talking.
