Self-employed nail technician Megan Walker will be working for 24 hours straight to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK, in memory of her beloved granny Janice White.
A granny enjoyed an adventurous life travelling to "exotic" locations around the world before she died from lung cancer as her family pay tribute to the "wee Glaswegian wummin".
The following month, joined by her mum, sister and friend, the family will take part in the 5K Race for Life at Glasgow Green, on May 18. All the money raised during the nailathon and run will be donated to Cancer Research UK. "She was a wee Glaswegian wummin, a proper character. She knew everybody and loved to travel, she had a house in Egypt.Megan is in her eighth month of being self-employed, running Beautsy by Meg at her salon on 10 Causewayside St, in Tollcross. She is excited to take part in the 24 hour challenge and has her gran at the forefront of her mind, who she says would be "totally amazed and proud" of her.
