Westminster Christian quarterback Houston Scott dominated play against DAR and the poll, pulling 34 percent of the 1,551 votes cast. The 6-foot-5, 184-pound junior completed 8-of-10 passes for 158 yards and three touchdowns in the Wildcats’ 58-13 rout last week. His TD throws were from 34, 28 and 2 yards. Scott is the first player from Westminster to earn Player of the Week honors this season.
Arab quarterback Drew Puccio finished second in the vote at 25 percent. The senior ran for 121 yards with a touchdown and threw for 120 yards and another TD in a 17-15 loss to Guntersville. The senior completed 13-of-17 passes. Keaton Williams of Sparkman was right behind his Arab counterpart with 23 percent of the total.
