A significant weather change is on the way for Queensland and New South Wales.
From today until potentially late next week, a low pressure trough is set to bring rain and thunderstorms daily to eastern Australia, Weatherzone has reported.
Projected falls of up to 20mm to 40mm could happen over northern NSW and southern Queensland, where firefighters have been battling recent blazes that have claimed homes and lives.Heavier falls are likely to happen in northern NSW, Weatherzone said, forecasting a total of up to 100mm by next Friday.Weatherzone said the rain, as well as "cooler and more humid easterly winds" would help firefighters manage or extinguish ongoing blazes.
