San Francisco Giants take on St. Louis Cardinals Thursday at Rickwood
Major League Baseball plans a weeklong series of youth and community events in Birmingham leading up to Thursday’s MLB at Rickwood Field Game between the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals.at the historic Carver Theater on 4th Avenue North in. The film chronicles the life and career of Mays, the 93-year-old Birmingham native who went on to be among the greatest baseball players in history.
• Wednesday includes a visit to Children’s of Alabama by MLB and other VIP guests as part of the MLB Together program At 3 p.m. Wednesday, MLB and T-Mobile will dedicate a Willie Mays mural by renowned artist Chuck Styles at 1801 1st Street South. Following the softball game will be a performance by influential hip-hop artist/producer Metro Boomin’. Tickets are on sale for $24 at
