JUST one hour of weightlifting could cut your chance of a heart attack by 70 per cent – and scientists reckon it’s better for you than running.

It revealed that you don’t need to spent hours in the gym to feel the benefits – a total of 60 minutes a week will do. Press-ups and squats can be done from the comfort of your living room, while chest presses and bicep curls can be done using dumbells – or any other heavy items you have lying around.Lie face-down and put your hands shoulder-width apart, with a flat back and tensed core. Push yourself up by extending your arms.Lie on your back with a dumbell – or any other weight – in each hand. Bend at the elbows then straighten your arms.
