The Welsh Conservatives tabled the motion for June 5 following the collapse of the co-operation deal between Labour and Plaid Cymru, and a series of rows involving Mr Gething.
Welsh First Minister Vaughan Gething will face a Senedd vote of no confidence in his leadership next week amid a furious backlash over a Labour leadership campaign donation.
It came as UK Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer endorsed his Welsh counterpart. He said Mr Gething was doing a 'good job' and said he would be joining him on the election campaign trail. Leader of the Welsh Conservatives Andrew RT Davies said: 'Next week Senedd members will have the chance to have their say on Vaughan Gething's judgment, his transparency, and his truthfulness.'
