West Ham are not currently pushing to sell striker Danny Ings before the 31 August transfer deadline,The Irons are light in attack as they continue to negotiate a deal with Aston Villa for 20-year-old Jhon Duran.
But it is believed Julen Lopetegui feels Ings still has something to give at the London Stadium and the former Southampton star could remain at West Ham even if Duran is signed. The three-cap England international, who was wanted by Southampton earlier in the window, is into the final year of his contract with the Irons after signing for the club in 2023., Ings earns around £120,000-a-week – and sources say he is unwilling to take a pay cut to move away from West Ham.The forward could therefore see out the remainder of his deal at the London Stadium and depart for free in 2025.
He managed just one goal in the 2023-24 campaign and has scored just four goals in total since signing for West Ham 18 months ago.
