An investigation is underway following a possible murder-suicide on West Road in Harris County.

An apparent murder-suicide is now under investigation in Harris County . According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the discovery was made after authorities responded to a welfare check at an apartment unit in the 13000 block of West Road. SUGGESTED: Klein ISD teacher and son arrested, charged with recruiting juvenile students for prostitutionWhen authorities arrived, they found an adult male, believed to be in his early 50s, and female unresponsive from apparent gunshot wounds.

That investigation, Gonzalez said, led to a call for service around 10 or 11 a.m. Tuesday for an attempt to locate the woman. Gonzalez said the woman wasn't located after authorities arrived at the scene. Officials stated her cell phone was in the area at the time.
