A 44-year-old West Valley City man has been indicted on multiple charges after allegedly making death threats against Salt Lake County officials.
He is facing five counts of stalking and one count of interstate communication of threats following a series of threatening phone calls made to various county offices. The following day, Bracken contacted the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office claiming “a fraudulent sheriff’s sale on his property” and threatening to open fire “on the first person who shows up to evict him.” He reportedly mentioned having a 7.62-millimeter firearm.
Records show Bracken made a total of 32 calls to multiple county offices, including the Sheriff’s Office and Assessor’s Office, in April 2024 alone.
