The Jerusalem Post Columnist Emily Schrader says the Islamic republic has no “legitimacy” and western democratic countries should be encouraged to have strong policies when it comes to sanctioning Iran.

“These protests are the beginning of the end, the only question here is when is that actually going to take place,” Ms Schrader told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“The Islamic revolution in 1979 – it took 15 months for that to happen – right now we need to be patient. “We need to encourage western leaders – to have a very strong policy when it comes to Iran, that means sanction and enforcement – revoking recognition of the Islamic republic because they do not have legitimacy.”
