Westgold Resources has set yet another quarterly gold production record, though this is arguably not surprising given its recent acquisition of fellow Western Australian gold producer Karora Resources.Preliminary data for September quarter shows production of 77,369 ounces, with sales at an average price of A$3723 per ounce. The results include just two months of production from the Beta Hunt and Higginsville assets Westgold acquired on August 1.
Production is weighted to the second half as Bluebird South-Junction expands to the target 1.2 million tonnes per annum run rate, Beta Hunt's output exceeds 2Mtpa, and mining commences at Great Fingall."We look forward to delivering more quarterly production records and cash-build as we optimise, then expand, our extended portfolio of assets in two of Australia's most prolific gold-producing regions," Bramwell said.
