Arsenal conceded first against Manchester United but responded to secure a dramatic 3-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta warned his players about Manchester United's threat on the counter prior to Sunday's clash at the Emirates Stadium.
Substitute Alejandro Garnacho thought he won it in the 88th minute for the visitors but VAR adjudged he was offside. And Arsenal made the most of the let-off as Declan Rice scored with a deflected strike in the sixth minute of stoppage time. As the Reds pressed for an equaliser, they were caught on the break and Gabriel Jesus added gloss to the scoreline.
"In the second half, they could have scored - well they did score but it was overturned. For the rest, the win, the eagerness and the determination of the team, the way it shows and that will to win and that mentality to go and go and go. I’m so proud of it."
