The European market, meanwhile, decided to refresh the current MG 5 instead. Going for a wagon body style, it features a heavily-revised front and rear end. It also gets re-designed LED head- and taillights as well as alloy wheels.And because MG’s trying to make in-roads in Europe, the MG 5 is available solely as an EV. The brand says it offers more than 400 kilometers of range thanks to a lithium-ion battery mounted between the front and rear axles.
According to MG, 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.3 seconds. Its quick charging capacity can juice up this EV from flat to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. What’s more, the MG 5 EV is also Vehicle-To-Load or V2L capable. This means users can use their MG 5 to power other electric devices such as e-bikes, portable heaters, or camping equipment.
