Erik ten Hag needs to address a running problem at Manchester United that he is refusing to acknowledge.
The last time Manchester United conceded fewer than 16 shots in a game was the FA Cup third round win over Wigan Athletic in the first game of 2024 - some 14 matches ago.

The Dutchman was branded as a pragmatist upon his arrival, something he has shown off the pitch but scarcely on it. He later pointed to individual errors during his press conference, saying: "If you have to defend you have to do it proper and we made the wrong decisions. And on individual errors and that's very frustrating if you're playing a good game."
Both scenarios are concerning and the situation does no favours for his security in his role as manager ahead of a big decision for the club this summer. His players are starting to get the hump, too.
