For an economy still officially growing at 2 per cent plus, it seems almost absurd that Quantitative Easing might be considered here in Australia. These are the savers of the nation. But their interest rates are already so close to zero it's not funny. Cutting those rates even further will put no further spending power in anyone's pockets.
