Salem's Lot 2024 Barlow Ben and vampire Danny
Salem's Lot sees the efforts of Ben Mears and other town residents to get rid of the vampires haunting the Lot, but Barlow’s death wasn’t the end of the vampires. Stephen King’s novels continue to be a big source of inspiration for many filmmakers, but the movie adaptation of Salem's Lot went through many obstacles and delays before finally being released on Max.
Ben Mears & Mark Petrie Return To Kill Many Of The Vampires A Year After Salem's Lot The Salem’s Lot Novel Reveals More Right At The End Dauberman’s Salem's Lot made some changes to King’s book, including the final showdown between survivors Ben Mears and Mark Petrie . In the movie, Mark, Ben, and Dr. Cody find out that the vampires hide in the trunks of the cars at the drive-in and trick them into coming out before the sun sets.
Knowing well that there are many hiding places for the vampires in the Lot, Ben starts a fire in the nearby woods, hoping that it will spread through the town – and, with that, that the vampires will flee their hiding spots. In theory, that would make it easier for Ben and Mark to spot the vampires and kill them, but there are way too many, with the novel ending with Ben and Mark driving away to prepare for their mission as the fire spreads.
